mun2 Scores Five 2013 PREMIOS TU MUNDO Finalists

mun2, the leading cable network for Hispanic millennial adults, had five finalist nominations for the 2013 edition of "Premios Tu Mundo" to be broadcast live on Thursday, August 15 at 8pm/7c from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on the Telemundo Network. "Premios Tu Mundo" honors the best in pop culture, including telenovelas, music, movies and sports and are voted on by viewers.

The network's original Hispanic celebrity reality series I Love Jenni near the end of season three, the most viewed season of the series and the most watched program on Hispanic cable in its time slot is a finalist for Best Reality Moment (Mejor Momento de Reality). Not to mention its iconic star, the one and only Jenni Rivera, is a finalist for Fandango Cine's Latino Performance of the Year (Fandango Cine presenta Orgullo Latino en Hollywood) for her amazing performance in the film, "Filly Brown."

Alerta Zero, the docu-reality series based on former members of the chart-topping Regional Mexican music group Alacranes Musical, who have now formed a new group, Alerta Zero and follows them as they strive to take over the charts as the newly formed group are finalist in Best Reality Moment (Mejor Momento de Reality), as well and mun2 presents Best Music Video (mun2 presenta Mejor Video Musical) for the music video of their song "Invencible."

mun2's award-winning digital property creation the comedic vignette, which displays the answer of why Hispanic children are so well-behaved ,"Secret of La Chancla" (with more than four million views to date on mun2 YouTube channel earns nod for Favorite Viral Video (Video Viral Favorito).

mun2 continues in its tradition of leading entertainment programming will broadcast originals which include a Premios Tu Mundo nominees special episode of mun2¡pop! airing on Saturday August 11th at 12noon / 11:00am central and "Premios Tu Mundo All Access" on Saturday August 24th at 12noon / 11:00am Central.
