World Slalom Champ Mikaela Shiffrin to Compete in Gold Medal Final Tomorrow

NBC's Primetime coverage of the XXII Olympic Winter Games tomorrow, Friday, February 21 at 8/7c is highlighted by the women's slalom gold medal final in alpine skiing where 18-year-old phenom Mikaela Shiffrin, the reigning world and World Cup champion in slalom, takes to the Sochi course for her signature event. In men's short track, two-time Olympic medalist J.R. Celski aims to qualify for gold medal finals in the 500m and 5000m relay. He is the world record holder in the 500m and will anchor the U.S. relay, which is ranked No. 1 in the world. Also in short track is the women's 1000m, with the team pursuit in men's SPEED skating featuring four-time Olympic medalist Shani Davis skating for Team USA rounding out Primetime on NBC Friday.

NBCSN features two live men's hockey semifinal games on Friday, as Team USA meets Canada in a rematch of the 2010 gold medal final with coverage beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET, and Finland faces Sweden with coverage beginning at 7 a.m. ET. In addition, NBCSN features the live bronze medal match in men's curling with China vs. Sweden, and the ski cross gold medal final in women's freestyle skiing.

CNBC hosts coverage of Canada vs. Great Britain at 5p.m. ET, with the winner taking home the gold medal in men's curling.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22
NBC's Saturday coverage is highlighted by the slalom gold medal final in men's alpine skiing where Torino combined gold medalist Ted Ligety will look to earn his second medal at the Sochi Games. Ligety became the first American to win gold in the giant slalom event on Wednesday. Also highlighting Primetime is the four-man bobsled competition featuring Steve Holcomb, who led Team USA to gold in the event in 2010. Holcomb and teammate Steve Langton enter the four-man competition after winning bronze in the two-man bobsled at the Sochi Games. In the team pursuit event in both men's and women's SPEED skating, the U.S. men with four-time Olympic medalist Shani Davis look to return to the podium after winning silver in Vancouver, while the women try to win their first Olympic medal in this event. After winning the silver medal at the 2013 World Championship in the snowboard parallel giant slalom, American Justin Reiter looks to reach the podium in the event in Sochi. Rounding out NBC's Primetime coverage on Saturday is the gala event in figure skating, where the top skaters from the Sochi Games return to the ice for special exhibition performances.

NBC's Primetime coverage on Saturday also includes Long Way Home: The Jessica Long Story, which profiles Jessica Long, a world-class swimmer, 12-time Paralympic gold medalist, and 21-year old American from a Baltimore suburb, who was born in Russia and adopted by American parents.
