On this morning's TODAY show on NBC, anchor Matt Lauer announced that a scheduled interview with celebrity chef Paula Deen, who is currently involved in a law suit over her alleged use of racial slurs, would no longer be taking place. Watch the clip from the broadcast below!

"We just found out she's a no-show," explained Lauer, who went on to say, "I spoke with her yesterday afternoon about the arranged interview... We agreed there would be no restrictions." He shared that Deen had agreed to, "an open and candid exchange."

According to Lauer, a representative for Deen explained her absense by saying she was "exhausted".

Later on Twitter, the newsman posted, "Hoping to get more info on the Paula Deen situation soon. Very confusing."
