NBC continues its coverage of the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series with Grand Prix Japan, the final event before the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Coverage of the men's and ladies' free skates begins today, Nov. 30, at 4 p.m. ET.
Americans competing in Osaka include 2014 U.S. champions and Olympic team bronze medalists Gracie Gold and Jeremy Abbott, both making their second appearances during the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. At Hilton HHonors Skate America, Gold finished third, and Abbott finished fifth. 2014 Olympic gold medalist and reigning World champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan highlights the international field. COMMENTATORS: 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon will host coverage. Analyst Tracy Wilson will report on-site from the Namihaya Dome in Osaka, Japan. The Grand Prix Series, now in its 20th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 200 athletes from 25 countries are expected to participate in the series. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 11-14, in Barcelona, Spain.Videos
