Stacey Dash Reads Mean Tweets Following Awkward OSCAR Appearance

"Clueless" star Stacey Dash made an awkward appearance on Sunday night's Academy Awards which left the audience, well, clueless as to why she even appeared on stage.

The actress was introduced by Oscar host Chris Rock as the "new director of our minority outreach program." "I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy Black History Month. Thank you," giggled the actress before exiting the stage. The audience fell silent, apparently unsure how to react to the cameo appearance. She soon discovered that the bit fell flat with more than just the live theater audience, as viewers reacted strongly across social media.

"I just walked off stage from the Oscars where I got no applause, no boos, nothing," she says in a video which she made soon after her appearance. "People were, I think, awestruck. Which was a little disappointing."

She goes on to explain that Rock himself requested that she appear on the show, but that she never imagined she would receive such negative backlash from viewers. Below, check out her version of Jimmy Kimmel Live's #meantweets:
