Actress Sarah Carson has earned a 'Best Actress' nomination for her deliciously deceptive starring role in the award-winning sci-fi drama television series pilot, A.L.L.I.A.N.C.E.

On April 23rd, the indie project will screen at the esteemed First Glance Film Festival in Los Angeles, where it has received 5 nominations, including 'Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy', 'Best Ensemble' and Carson's individual nomination for 'Best Actress'.

A.L.L.I.A.N.C.E. has been gaining fans and awards on the festival circuit as an 'Official Selection' at 22 festivals, earning 15 awards and 20 nominations along the way. Carson is also the Executive Producer on the project, which was created by award-winning Writer-Director Kenneth Mader.

The series follows a team of NSA Agents as they become drawn deeper into a web of conspiracy, DECEPTION and cover-ups, all related to the mysterious UFO and alien abduction phenomenon. Carson steps into the storyline as 'Deputy Director Emily Laird', the head of a secret agency who, along with her team, must confront her past and an emerging threat that could alter the course of humanity - or perhaps already has.

Carson was drawn to the project because unlike others in this genre, A.L.L.I.A.N.C.E. approaches the matter from the inside. It explores the dark world of abductees, covert operatives, and a secret worldwide cabal, out to protect ancient discoveries and save humanity from a coming "purge".

Carson is been excited by the overwhelmingly positive response to the project, adding "Since becoming an actor, the role I would most love to play is that of 'M' in the Bond movies. Sadly, the role was captured by Judi Dench. My role in A.L.L.I.A.N.C.E. is that kind of role, and it is a consolation as to how well the project has been received."

Originally from Iowa, Carson's career history is as diverse as her talents. Although attracted to music originally, her artistic pursuits would come later in life. Carson had the prestige of being one of the first women graduated by the Harvard Graduate School of Business and one of the first two Bryn Mawr College females to attend and graduate. She went on to become a successful corporate executive and then business owner. She even earned a private investigators license in both New York and California. Since setting her sights on the entertainment arena, Carson has been building a solid reputation on the indie scene.
