Sabrina Carpenter to Perform at 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards

Hollywood Records recording artist Sabrina Carpenter is scheduled to perform at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families. Carpenter joins previously announced artists including Ariana Grande, DNCE, Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld, Zara Larsson, Daya, Laura Marano, Sofia Carson, Kelsea Ballerini and Jordan Smith on SATURDAY, APRIL 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The two-hour television special "Disney Channel Presents the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards" originating from the event to be presented SUNDAY, MAY 1 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel.

The singer and actress is already working on her second album and will take the RDMA stage with her latest single, "Smoke and Fire," which continues to rise on the Radio Disney "Top 30." Carpenter is nominated in the category "That's My Jam - Best Anthem" for "Eyes Wide Open," her hit single that she performed at the 2015 RDMA, where she also won an ARDY statuette for "XOXO - Best Crush Song" for her single "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying."

Best known for her role as Maya in Disney Channel's comedy series "Girl Meets World," Carpenter will star in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "Adventures in Babysitting," inspired by the hugely popular 1980s blockbuster of the same name.

The 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards, music's biggest event for families, is set for Saturday, April 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
