Disney Media Distribution Latin America (DMD-LA), the distribution and production arm of The Walt Disney Company Latin America; Somos Productions; and Juan Gabriel announced a successful second week of filming on the new series about the life of Juan Gabriel, "Hasta que te conocí," starring acclaimed actress Dolores Heredia as Victoria Aguilera Valadez.

Based on the life of Mexican musical icon Juan Gabriel and produced by BTF Media, the biopic series features a top-notch cast that includes Maria Rojo, Irán Castillo, Gabriela Roel, Julio Bracho, Verónica Langer, Mónica Dionne, Ernesto Gómez Cruz, Gustavo Sánchez Parra and Marco Treviño. "Hasta que te Conocí" will be premiering on Telemundo in 2016.

Dolores Heredia plays Victoria Aguilera Valadez, a poor girl from a small town who refuses to settle for a marriage of convenience and will sacrifice anything to be with her one true love: Gabriel Aguilera. But life's difficulties become too much for this happy, determined dreamer, to the point that she abandons her youngest son, Alberto, in the hope of giving him a better life. Little does she know that her decision will lead him on a constant search to find and reinvent himself as Juan Gabriel, the most famous and beloved singer songwriter in the Spanish-speaking world.

María Rojo plays Maribel, a simple-minded elderly woman with a kind heart. Poor and lonely, she rescues young Alberto from the streets, treating him like the son she never had.

Irán Castillo plays Maria Romero, a close friend of the Aguileras who comes from a high-class family and is willing to defy stereotypes to help the family as misfortune and small-town prejudice conspire to marginalize Victoria and her children.

Gabriela Roel plays Brígida, Victoria's selfless mother. Widowed long ago, she works as a maid in María Romero's household.

Julio Bracho plays General Puentes, Director of Palacio Negro de Lecumberri Prison, where Juan Gabriel is briefly an inmate. A military man of few words, used to issuing orders with no explanation, he invites Juan Gabriel to his home after the young man's release.

Verónica Langer plays Micaela, Director of the Court. Micaela is a friend of the Meana family and takes an interest in Albertito's case.

Mónica Dionne plays Maria de Jesus Meana, María Romero's sister, although the two aren't close. A principled woman with traditional values, she upholds good manners and accepted custom and is committed to her main role in life: keeping house for her beloved husband, Rafael.

Ernesto Gómez Cruz plays Juanito, a metalworking instructor who was a violinist in the days before the Mexican Revolution. He becomes Alberto's mentor, in life as well as music.

Gustavo Sánchez Parra plays Oscar, a hardworking and responsible man and a newcomer to the border region. He sets his sights on Victoria and promises to help her turn her life around.

Marco Treviño plays Eduardo Magallanes, a famous musician and head of RCA Records. The singer's personal friend and confidant, he has always had faith in Juan Gabriel's talent, never judges him, and is committed to helping him advance his career.
