The critically acclaimed MSNBC series, "Lockup Extended Stay," will launch its new season Saturday, April 6th, 2013. The six episode series takes viewers inside the Cuyahoga County Correction Center in Cleveland, Ohio. With over 2,000 inmates, Cuyahoga County Correction Center faces the challenges of over-crowding and a younger, more violent population.

The "Lockup" field team shot inside the facility over a period of four months and covered a wide range of stories including that of a of a 71-year-old female inmate convicted of running a $60,000,000 Ponzi scheme and a male inmate, who after 24 years on Ohio's Death Row, was back at the jail while fighting to have his verdict overturned in court.

Much of the drama in Cuyahoga County surrounded the Heartless Felons, a local gang that was born in Cleveland's juvenile detention facilities. Gang members regularly threaten, attack and shakedown other inmates for everything from food trays, to commissary goods and arranging for their victims' family members to do them favors on the outside.
