Orchard Winfield Productions (OW Productions) will kick off Gay Pride Week in New York City with the launch of the new series People You Know on June 23. The show creators will premiere the two-part pilot complete with celebrity hosting, live music performances and the chance to meet the dramedy's key actors. Pandora Boxx, of RuPaul's Drag Race and a cast member of the show, will host the event at Industry, 355 W 52nd Street in New York City, NY. All of the stars of People you Know will be present for the event and musicians Mister Chase, Danny Blu, Collin Marrero and others, who all contributed to the soundtrack, will perform live during the premiere.

People You Know tackles the story of having it all in the most iconic, demanding and cutthroat city in the world, New York City. People you Know is a provocative series where the seven Deadly Sins corrupt a group of thirty-something urbanites, threatening their chance for happiness and love, as they strive to achieve their dreams while surviving the drama. At every turn, these friends get pushed to the limit and run the risk of losing all they hold dear.

"Every decision these characters make has a ripple effect. When things go wrong, they turn to the family they've created rather than their own blood," says co-creator Baltimore Russell. "That is what makes this show so interesting - while you might see one character being supportive, they might be also holding someone else back from achieving their dreams."

OW Productions filmed the first six episodes of the 13-episode first season on location in New York City last summer and will resume production in early fall. People you Know will be available for streaming and for purchase in July after the series launch event.

"There are several moments in the series where the characters 'cross the Rubicon' and their fate is forever changed," says John Dylan DeLaTorre, co-creator. "How circumstances plot against the characters and how the characters respond to their changing world is what interests me most as a writer for and an actor in the series."

ABOUT PEOPLE YOU KNOW

People you Know is a half hour, open-ended drama series that presents a multilayered story with direct consequences for each character. It is a provocative Primetime drama set in the fast-paced world of New York City. It tells the story about a circle of friends, family and ex-lovers, gay & straight. The plots center on sex, love, betrayal, and greed, any of which can lead to a character's undoing. Far more than just a soap, the series challenges stereotypes and breaks new ground. The show weaves throughout its story lines larger, universal themes about the human condition, the nature of cultural identity and gender norms.
