The Feb. 7 telecast of NBC's THIS IS US has risen to that week's #1 rating among broadcast series programs in "live plus seven day" adult 18-49 ratings from Nielsen Media Research. It's the first time "This Is Us" has outrated the same week's original of "The Big Bang Theory" on the L+7 ranker.

"This Is Us" grew by +2.44 rating points or +96% with the Feb. 7 episode going from its next-day 2.55 rating in "live plus same day" 18-49 Nielsens to a 4.99 in L+7. That topped the 4.83 rating in L+7 for the Feb. 9 "Big Bang" (up from a 3.03 in L+SD).

In total viewers, "This Is Us" generated the biggest L+7 lift on television for that week of Feb. 6-12, growing by 6.236 million viewers (from 9.565 million in L+SD to 15.801 million in L+7). The week's #2 biggest lift was +5.100 million for "Big Bang" (14.147million to 19.247 million).

That week's 18-49 lift of +2.44 for "This Is Us" was the biggest of the week on broadcast television, and only trailed by 0.03 the biggest lift on cable, for AMC's Feb. 12 mid-season premiere of "The Walking Dead" (+2.47, 5.73 to 8.20). Previously in the fall, the closest "This Is Us" had come to matching that week's L+7 lift for "Walking Dead" was a gap of 0.33 during the week of Oct. 17-23 (+1.97 for "Us," +2.30 for "Walking Dead").

For the week of Feb. 6-12, NBC delivered 6 of primetime television's 12 biggest L+7 boosts in 18-49, with "This Is Us'" lift of +2.44 being joined by "Law & Order: SVU" (+1.13, 1.64 to 2.77), "Chicago Fire" (+1.01, 1.51 to 2.52), "The Blacklist" (+1.00, 0.92 to 1.92), "Chicago P.D." (+0.98, 1.30 to 2.28) and "Timeless" (+0.97, 0.64 to 1.61).

In "live plus three day" 18-49 Nielsens, "This Is Us" has now outrated "The Big Bang Theory" during each of the last two weeks, giving the NBC drama its first two L+3 wins over that week's "Big Bang." The Feb. 7 "This Is Us" rose to a 4.52 in L+3 versus a 4.47 for the Feb. 9 "Big Bang," and the Feb. 14 "Us" earned a 4.22 in L+3 to top the 3.92 of the Feb. 16 "Big Bang."
