NBC's Matt Lauer Renews Contract to Co-Anchor TODAY Through 2018

Deadline reports that longtime TODAY co-anchor Matt Lauer has renewed his contract to stay with the morning program through 2018. According to the site, Lauer will receive $20 million a year. NBC News has not confirmed the report.

Next year will mark two decades that Lauer has co-anchored Today, the longest tenure ever on the show, which first premiered back in 1952.
