Lee Flaster Named Senior VP, Business Operations & Growth Strategy at Telemundo

Telemundo today named seasoned network executive Lee Flaster to Senior Vice President, Business Operations & Growth Strategy. Flaster will be based in Miami and report to Luis Silberwasser, President, Telemundo Network, and Marlene Dooner, Executive Vice President, Hispanic Group, NBCUniversal.

In this new role, Flaster will lead the Telemundo network's business planning process and identify strategies and opportunities to increase the commercial appeal of the network, while providing support to NBC UNIVERSO and Digital & Emerging Platforms. Flaster will work with various internal departments to maximize the profitability of the network's programming. In addition, working closely with Dooner, he will collaborate across the Hispanic Group portfolio to identify opportunities to maximize revenue potential across the entire division.

Previously, Flaster was Senior Vice President, Planning, Strategy and Business Operations, NBCUniversal Hispanic Group, where he developed business strategies and partnerships focused on revenue growth opportunities across all platforms. During his tenure, he played a key role in doubling TELEMUNDO's revenue and bringing the innovative Hispanics@nbcu platform to market. Additionally, he supported network sales and marketing by providing leadership for strategic planning, pricing and inventory management. He joined NBCUniversal in 1999 within the NBC Cable group and was quickly promoted to Director of Sales Operations & Digitization for NBC TV Network.

Flaster started his career in management consulting with A.T. Kearney, working in various industries across the U.S., Europe and Latin America. In 2013, he was recognized as one of the '40 Under 40' by Multichannel News, highlighting individuals under the age of 40 who are making a mark in diverse fields related to cable television. He received a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He studied in Madrid, Spain at ICADE while at Penn and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, focusing on marketing and management.
