Actress turned novelist turned screen writer Lauren Graham is set to bring her debut novel to the small screen, according to Deadline.

The site reports that Graham, a former GILMORE GIRL, will partner with Warner Bros. and Ellen DeGenere's A Very Good Production for the adaptation of SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE, her first novel, which she released in April.

The project is being set up as an hour-long drama, with Graham taking the lead writing duties. She will also serve as an executive producer.

SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE follows a young New Yorker whose Broadway plans for herself haven't yet panned out. According to the publisher, it's a "story about hopes and dreams, being young in a city, and wanting something deeply, madly, desperately. It's about finding love, finding yourself, and perhaps most difficult of all in New York City, finding an acting job."

She has performed on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, and has appeared in such films as Bad Santa, Evan Almighty, and Because I Said So. She holds a BA in English from Barnard College and an MFA in acting from Southern Methodist University. She lives in New York and Los Angeles.
