After winning $428,100 over 21 appearances, JEOPARDY champion Julia Collins' lengthy winning streak came to an end last night, Monday June 2nd.

Though the 31-year-old management consultant from Kenilworth, Illinois, lost, she is now the winningest female contestant in the show's 30-year history, and the No. 2 all-time "Jeopardy!" champ in consecutive wins, following Ken Jennings, who earned a whopping $2,520,700 in 74 victories.

Following her 20-game streak, Collins found herself in second place for last night's Final Jeopardy round with a total of $11,000.

Said host Alex Trebek, "This is the first time in a long, long time in which Julia has not led going into the finals." Unfortunately for Collins, she was unable to come up with the answer to: Winning for 1999, this New England writer is the last person to win an Oscar for adapting his own novel.

Her guess - "Who is Chabon?" which cost her every penny she had earned from Monday's game. Challenger Brian Laughnane was able to come up with the correct answer: "Who is John Irving?"
