IMPACT WITH MARTIN SHEEN to Explore Root Causes of Homelessness

The producers of Impact with Martin Sheen are pleased to announce an upcoming report on how experts are uncovering many of the root causes of homelessness in an effort to reduce the number of Americans living on the streets each night.

Impact Martin Sheen is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. The program is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is beginning second half-century in American entertainment in 2013. Mr. Sheen has developed a reputation as one of Hollywood's most respected actors during a career that includes more than 60 film appearances.

Martin Sheen Impact is exploring several ways that Community groups are making headway in tackling society's problems, including homelessness. Producers are talking to Community leaders and other experts to uncover how they are working to bring the more than half-million homeless Americans in from the streets.

On any given night, more than 630,000 Americans are homeless according to a report from the National Alliance to End Homelessness. By working to alleviate the causes of homelessness, these leaders are bringing the number of homeless Americans down and also identifying and helping those most at-risk.
