IFC Acquires Rights to AN ACCEPTABLE LOSS Starring Jamie Lee Curtis

IFC Films has acquired the U.S. rights to Joe Chappelle's An Acceptable Loss, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The distributor plans to release the film theatrically in January 2019.

Formerly titled The Pages, the film, which stars Tika Sumpter and Jamie Lee Curtis. will have its world premiere at the Chicago International Film Festival.

In the political thriller, Sumpter plays a former top U.S. security advisor who confronts the ethical implications of past decisions she made while working for a tough politician, played by Curtis. Ben Tavassoli and Jeff Hephner also star in the film.

Chappelle also wrote the script for An Acceptable Loss, which shot in Chicago.

The film was produced by Collen Griffen of CorradoMooncoin and was executive produced by Candy Straight and Laura K. Lewis.

Arianna Bocco, the Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Productions at IFC Films/Sundance Selects, and by CAA negotiated the deal. International sales of the film are being handled by 13 Films.
