As first reported in The Hollywood Reporter, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and members of the group Big Time Rush will lend their voices to an upcoming animated film to be titled THE GREAT MIGRATION. The stars will also take part in an original soundtrack which will accompany the project.

The two High School Musical alum will join Big Time Rush  members Kendall Schmidt and Logan Henderson as well as Ashley Benson of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, on the animated project from CMI Entertainment.

Writer Kevin G. Schmidt, who is also set to star in the film commented, "The idea for The Great Migration arrived in my email inbox via a weekly newsletter from an alternative physician I follow in Chicago. The film centers on a group of characters that encounter a mutated predator threatening to destroy the balance of their environment."

Tisdale has voiced the character of 'Ferb' on Disney Channel's animated series, Phineas and Ferb. Hudgens has lent her vocal talents to Seth Green's adult cartoon series, Robot Chicken. The project will mark the first animated film for both Schmidt and Henderson.

CMI's Michael Cammarata explains, "What we hope to accomplish with The Great Migration is the most efficient animated storytelling without sacrificing artistic vision or quality. If the right partners are economically and creatively on the same page, I believe projects can be brought from conception to reality quicker than ever before."
