HGTV rang in 2016 by shattering new ratings records during the first week of January. More than 23 million total viewers tuned in to HGTV in prime time the week of January 4 - making HGTV a top 5 cable network that week.

The strong viewership led the network to achieve its highest-rated week ever among M25-54 viewers in prime time (M-Su 8P-12A) and helped deliver the second highest-rated prime time week in HGTV history among P25-54 at .62. HGTV also ranked as the #1 cable network among upscale P25-54 and upscale W25-54 in primetime, and ranked as the #2 cable network among W25-54 prime ratings.

Program drivers included FIXER UPPER and Flip or Flop, which recently delivered the highest-rated premiere telecast of the series on Tuesday, January 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

HGTV finished 2015 with its highest-rated year ever.
