HBO Gives 12-Episode Order for Third Season of GIRLS

HBO Entertainment has given a third season commitment of 12 episodes for its popular, award-winning series GIRLS. The premiere episode of the second season has already exceeded a gross audience of 3.8 million viewers with only partial data available.

Created by and starring Lena Dunham ("Tiny Furniture"), Girls takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of four Girls in their early 20s.

The show recently received two Golden Globes, for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (Lena Dunham); last September, Girls won an Emmy(R) for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.

The talented cast includes Hannah: Lena Dunham Marnie: Allison Williams Jessa: Jemima Kirke Shoshanna: ZOSIA MAMET and Adam: Adam Driver Ray: Alex Karpovsky

Lena Dunham, Judd Apatow, Jenni Konner, Ilene S. Landress, Bruce Eric Kaplan are the show's executive producers.
