Man Seeking Woman, the first original comedy series to debut on FXX, has been picked up for a second season, it was announced today by Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. The half-hour comedy series from Showrunner and Executive Producer Simon Rich, starring Jay Baruchel and produced by FX Productions, will return with 10 new episodes in 2016.

"Simon Rich has delivered an incredibly smart and original take on the search for love," Grad said. "Critics and fans alike have embraced his unique storytelling, Jon Krisel's stunning visuals and the brilliant performances of Jay Baruchel, Eric André and the rest of the cast that has made MAN SEEKING WOMAN one of the best new comedies on television."

Creator Simon Rich said, "Working on MAN SEEKING WOMAN has been the creative highlight of my life. FXX gave us the freedom to make the show we love and they let us build some truly disgusting monsters. I'm so grateful to John Landgraf and his team for believing in us and I can't wait to get back to work."

A sweet and absurd look at the surreal life-and-death stakes of dating, MAN SEEKING WOMAN stars Jay Baruchel as "Josh Greenberg," a naive romantic on a desperate quest for love. The cast also includes series regulars Eric André, Britt Lower and Maya Erskine. MAN SEEKING WOMAN was created by Simon Rich based on his book of short stories, The Last Girlfriend on Earth. Rich serves as Showrunner and Executive Producer along with Jonathan Krisel, Lorne Michaels and Broadway Video's Andrew Singer. MAN SEEKING WOMAN is produced by FX Productions.

Man Seeking Woman, currently airing its first, 10-episode season, is the first original comedy series developed for FXX, joining the network's hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, fan favorite The League and the acclaimed new comedy series You're The Worst, which has been picked up for a second season to debut this later this year.

In Live+7 to date, the first season of MAN SEEKING WOMAN is averaging 254,000 Adults 18-34 and 353,000 Adults 18-49 (through five episodes). MSW ranks #3 in Men 18-34 and #4 in Men 18-49 among the nine new scripted series launched on cable in 2015 to date. The show's median age is 32, on par with the median age of FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (30) and The League (31).

Season 1 of MAN SEEKING WOMAN will feature three more episodes. In the next episode, Episode 8, "Branzino" (Airs March 4, 10:30 PM E/P), Josh is convinced that he's finally found his soul mate. Written by Dan Mirk and directed by Tim Kirkby.
