One minute, you're in Japan for the insane 155-mph Wingsuit Championships; and the next, it's over to London to experience an intense best-of-five final to crown a new World Champion of Ping Pong. No, you're not watching ABC's Wide World of Sports or CBS Sports Spectacular in 1973, but you are watching THE JONES AND MOSELEY SHOW in 2013 on FOX Sports 1, America's new sports network launching on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Hosted by former NFL standout Dhani Jones (Twitter: @DhaniJones) and Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley (@jonnymoseley), THE JONES AND MOSELEY SHOW premieres on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 6:00 PM ET. This affable pair transports viewers to the most exciting finishes, record-breaking performances and pioneering events currently shaping today's global sports landscape (see dates & times for the first four episodes below).

This fast-paced studio-based program engages Jones and Moseley's global sports backgrounds and dynamic personalities. The duo goes deep, peeling back the layers of information and action, taking viewers on a ride through the prism of their sports lives and experiences. The footage is amazing, ranging from fully produced, large-scale offerings, to the more basic recordings of those who Capture unexpected moments of triumph.

There are breakdown features on events like the Monster Energy Supercross Series or the Bull Riding World Championships, where the rules are detailed, a historical perspective is established and its cultural relevance discussed. Then, the viewer moves right into the key moments that may decide the spotlighted sport's next champion.

As those battles are playing out throughout each episode, other segments focus on daring athletes in search of record-breaking accomplishments. For instance, a kayaker attempts to break a world record by plunging down an 18-story waterfall, while Alexander Polli dons his wing-suit in hopes of threading the needle through Spain's famous 'Batman's Cave.'

"It's a true cavalcade of events from throughout the world," said Melissa Forman, Executive Producer of The Jones and Moseley Show. "Combined with our high-tech studio and appealing co-hosts, this show brings together unique sports, extreme daredevil acts, championship play and adventure travel with irreverent humor, relevant information and raw emotion."

If there were ever a show that fit Dhani Jones personality, this would be it. In competition, Jones played middle linebacker for 11 NFL seasons with four different teams. Drafted by the New York Giants, the former University of Michigan All Big Ten performer also suited up for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals. However, his off-field ventures may be where he's best known. Starring in his own Travel Channel show Dhani Tackles the Globe, the California native and self-proclaimed adventurer participated in many of the world's greatest games. Whether it was flying to the U.K. to learn about, and take part in, a rugby union match; or on to St. Petersburg, Russia, where he practiced the military sport of sambo, Jones learned how to compete with and appreciate the athletes of different cultures. He also authored a similarly themed book, 'The Sportsman: Unexpected Lessons from an Around the World Sports Odyssey.'

Jones is also an avid cyclist, entrepreneur and philanthropist, founding a company that sells his own brand of high-end bow ties and opening a Cincinnati-based eatery called the Bow Tie Café. He's also a partner in VMG Creative, a New York City-based creative agency with many high-profile clients and Proclamation, a creative agency based in Cincinnati. "This is the show I have always wanted to do," Jones said. "Both Jonny and I have competed in all sorts of sporting events throughout the world. Fox Sports 1 is giving us this great platform to continue to tell these stories. Whether it's speeding through the air or navigating under water, we hope we're starting a conversation about the power of competition, and what people are willing to risk chasing that ultimate dream."

Jonathan 'Jonny' Moseley has an equally interesting story to tell. He's the first Puerto Rican to become a member of the U.S. Ski Team, bringing home gold for freestyle skiing during the 1998 Winter Olympics held in Nagano, Japan. Later on that year, he won the World Cup Mogul Skiing title, and was given a key to the city of San Francisco when Mayor Willie Brown declared it 'Jonny Moseley Day.' At the same time, he appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone and Freeskier magazines. Moseley then made his move to pop culture, hosting three seasons of MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and taking on the role of celebrity judge on ABC's Master of Champions.

In 2002, after competing for the U.S. Ski team during that year's Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Moseley hosted Saturday Day Night Live. He also put together an aerial video based on his signature X-Games trick called, 'The Dinner Roll.' More recently, he narrated Warren Miller's Children of Winter, hosted his own SiriusXM Satellite Radio show in 2011, later becoming co-host on NBC's American Ninja Warrior. "One of the coolest things about the show has been identifying that common thread which innately ties together all true competitors," Moseley said. "No matter what the sport is, once you understand what each person is trying to accomplish, you can see how they try to gain that little advantage. You can see it in their faces, their expressions. They know what's at stake in each moment."
