David Walton to Star in Greg Berlanti CBS Comedy Pilot

As first reported on Deadline.com, David Walton is set to play the male lead opposite JoAnna Garcia in the untitled CBS comedy pilot from Greg Malins and Greg Berlanti. Actor Bryan Greenberg was originally cast as the lead in the multi-camera comedy, however he left the project after an unsuccessful table read this week. 

It was recently announced that Walton, who currently stars in the NBC series 'Bent', would be a guest star on the pilot which follows the story of Nick (Walton), described as "a notorious womanizer who, after surviving a health scare, realizes that “The One” he has never found is actually his best friend of 15 years, Wendy (Garcia) who is engaged to a guy Nick likes." Wendy and Nick are in business together and had a failed attempt at dating while in college.

Walton played Dr. Rick in the NBC series Fired Up!. He was also a series regular on Cracking Up, as Liam Connor.
