Actors Dave Annable and Gil Birmingham have joined the cast of Paramount Network's first original scripted drama series, YELLOWSTONE starring renown actor and Oscar(R)-winner Kevin Costner and written and directed by Oscar(R)-nominated and critically acclaimed screenwriter Taylor Sheridan ("Hell or High Water," "Sicario," "Wind River").

"Yellowstone" is set to begin production this August in Utah and will premiere on Paramount Network in Summer 2018.

Paramount Network, television's new premium entertainment brand, launches in January 2018.

"Yellowstone" follows the Dutton family; led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders - land developers, an Indian reservation, and America's first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny -- where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.

Dave Annable joins as John Dutton's oldest son Lee, a cowboy, who serves as his father's right-hand man in running the ranch.

Upcoming, Annable can be seen in two lead roles, first in the action film "Armed Response," opposite Wesley Snipes and then in Discovery's "Final Vision," opposite Scott Foley. Annable's TV credits also include NBC's "Heartbeat," Steven Spielberg's FOX drama "Red Band Society," ABC's "666 Park Avenue" and ABC's "Brothers and Sisters." His film credits include "What's Your Number" and "Little Black Book." Annable is repped by UTA and Manager Sue Leibman/Barking Dog Entertainment.

Gil Birmingham will portray Thomas Rainwater, a steely and proud Chief of an Indian Nation challenging the Dutton family.

Award-winning actor Gil Birmingham is known for his work in more than 50 film and television productions. Most recently Birmingham co-starred in Taylor Sheridan's critically acclaimed film "Hell or High Water" and recently reunited for the upcoming release, "Wind River." His other film credits include the first four films in the "Twilight" saga, "Transformers: The Last Night" and "The Space Between Us." Birmingham currently has a recurring role on the Netflix comedy "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." His additional television credits include "House of Cards," "Banshee" and the current season of TNT's "Animal Kingdom." Birmingham is repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa.

The cast of "Yellowstone" also includes previously announced actors Kelsey Asbille, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly.

Executive Producers for the series include John and Art Linson ("Sons of Anarchy," "Fight Club," "Heat"), Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner and Harvey Weinstein and David Glasser from The Weinstein Company.

Keith Cox is the President, Development and Production for Paramount Network. Brad Gardner is Senior Vice President, Development and Original Production for Paramount Network. Ted Gold is Senior Vice President of Scripted Development for Paramount Network and Lauren Ruggerio serves as Vice President, Drama Development.
