CBS THIS MORNING Posts Best Viewer Delivery in a Season in 21 Years

CBS THIS MORNING finished the 2014-2015 television season with its best delivery in viewers in 21 years (since the 1993-1994 season), according to Nielsen most current ratings.

CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news program to post a gain in viewers (+9%, 3.38m from 3.11m) and the only program to maintain its rating with adults 25-54 (0.9/07), the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, compared to last season.

CBS THIS MORNING added more than a quarter of a million viewers (+270,000) compared to last season, and closed the viewership gap with NBC by more than half a million viewers. This marks the closest CBS has been to NBC in viewers in a season in 21 years (since the 1993-1994 season).

For the May 2015 sweep, CBS THIS MORNING posted double-digit percentage increases in adults 25-54 (+13%, 0.9/07 from 0.8/06) and viewers (+14%, 3.62m from 3.18m), compared to the May 2014 Sweep, according to Nielsen live plus same-day ratings. CBS THIS MORNING posted its best May sweep delivery in viewers in more than two Decades (based on CBS's available electronic May sweep records).

For the week ending May 22, CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news program to post year-to-year gains among viewers (+12%, 3.48m from 3.11m) compared to a year ago, adding +370,000 viewers compared to the same week last year.

On May 23, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY posted a +18% gain in viewers (1.94m from 1.65m) compared to the same week last year. CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY gained +290,000 viewers, closing the viewership gap with NBC by 540,000 viewers and bringing the deficit to less than one million viewers.
