CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted year-to-year gains in viewers and delivered its sixth-largest audience since the 1987 advent of people meters, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 1.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.63 million viewers and a 1.6/08 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. CBS SUNDAY MORNING remained the #1 Sunday morning news program in viewers and adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +4% in viewers (from 6.34m).
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered more than 6 million viewers for the seventh consecutive week and the ninth time in 10 weeks.
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in viewers (6.15m from 5.99m).
Sunday's broadcast featured Lee Cowan's profile of Steve Fuller, the winter caretaker of Yellowstone National Park; Tracy Smith's interview with singer Kelly Clarkson; Erin Moriarty's chat with French journalist Anne Sinclair; Jane Pauley's report on the inspiration and people behind the Broadway production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"; John Blackstone's segment on a San Francisco art museum you can tour long-distance with the help of a robot; and Steve Hartman's piece on a high school basketball team with no fans that is cheered by the opposition.
