CBS apparently wants to get a jump on the competition by ordering a comedy pilot which may wind up on its fall of 2013 programming line-up. EX-MEN, from 'How I Met Your Mother' producer and director Rob Greenberg, is a single-camera comedy from executive producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will follow "a young guy who finds camaraderie living among the more experienced guys he meets in a short-term rental complex." EX-MEN is among a growing list of projects from the Tannenbaum writing team. Their half-hour comedy 'Friend Me' was recently ordered as a series. They also produce CBS's long-running comedy, "Two and a Half Men."

Greenberg is set to write and direct the project. His other writing and directing credits include Meet Dave, Spellbound, Harry's Girl, Frasier, My Boys, Scrubs and Happy Endings.
