CBS Extends Broadcast Time for LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Premiere

CBS has extended the broadcast time for the premiere of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, airing Tuesday, September 8th. The show will feature guests Academy Award winner George Clooney, Republican presidential candidate and former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush, and a musical performance by THE LATE SHOW's bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human as well as special guests, and will air from 11:35 PM-12:44 AM, ET/PT.

THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN will have a revised broadcast time of 12:44 AM-1:44 AM, ET/PT and will feature guests actor and executive producer Bradley Cooper, actor Jake McDorman, actor Andrew Garfield, and a musical performance by Wiz Khalifa featuring Fall Out Boy.

THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT will be broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

A multi-talented and respected host, writer, producer, satirist and comedian, Colbert is well-known for his previous late night show, "The Colbert Report," which concluded on Friday, Dec. 18, 2014. The program received wide-spread critical acclaim and earned two Peabody Awards and 29 Emmy Award nominations, including two Emmy wins for Outstanding Variety Series (2013, 2014) and four Emmy wins for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program (2008, 2010, 2013, 2014). Prior to that, Colbert spent eight years as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" as an on-air personality and writer of news satire for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series.
