Since I'm assuming most people will want to watch this episode since it's the first part of the two part finale of season 8, I am not going to have an in-depth recap, but instead an in-depth analysis of the episode. So, WARNING MAJOR "DARK WATER" SPOILERS BELOW.

Oh my Master! What an episode! Quick recap so we can get into the good stuff: Danny is hit by a car and dies. Clara, who is unwilling to let him go, gets The Doctor to help her save him. The Doctor hooks Clara up to the TARDIS interface and they get a lock on where Clara and Danny's timeline will link next. The TARDIS brings them to the Nethersphere where they meet Missy. After some snooping around, they find out that they are harvesting the dead by uploading their minds and upgrading their bodies, aka Cybermen from Cyberspace. Clara gets in contact with Danny, but hangs up on him when she doesn't believe it's really him. The Doctor confronts Missy and finds out she's The Master-well The Mistress now!

Phew, okay. So now lets get more in depth.

First off, we have to talk about Mr. Danny Pink. Rather, the death of Danny Pink. Hit by a car right when Clara tells him she will only ever love him, yikes. Obviously, his death was the way for The Doctor to come face to face with The Master and learn her/his plans. However, I have a sinking suspicion that Danny will not be coming back to life, but instead Clara is going to sacrifice herself in order to spend the rest of time with him. Or maybe, Danny, in his new world body, is somehow able to come back to Earth and live happily ever after with Clara, but since this is DOCTOR WHO, I see it going the way of Rose/TenTwo and Amy/Rory, and The Doctor having a bittersweet goodbye with Clara.

We also get to find out that what haunts Danny from the war is that he killed a child. This child asks to speak with Danny in the Nethersphere, but runs away when Danny tries to talk to him. However, when Danny is about to "DELETE" himself and turn into a Cyberman, the child's reflection is seen in the iPad, which I think means he will stop Danny and in turn save him from a very unenjoyable transformation. We will definitely be seeing a conversation between the two of them next week, where hopefully Danny will be able to get out his feelings and say sorry.

Clara, my Clara. What resolve on that girl! Her ability to betray The Doctor to save the love of her life was very admirable. She did not allow The Doctor to make her back down and give up. She was willing to lock The Doctor out of the TARDIS forever if he didn't help her save Danny. Obviously it wasn't the best plan, but it proved how strong and determined Clara is, which will be important traits to have when facing the Cybermen in the next episode. Seeing how far she would go for Danny was really touching and when she told Danny that she loves him and "those words from me are yours now," I teared up a bit! I have a feeling that when Danny kept saying "I love you" to her at the end of the episode, it was his way of saying that back to her. I know Clara will realize that it really is Danny who she was talking to (at least I am 98% sure it is) and figure out a way to save him so they can enjoy their life together!

Cyberspace Cybermen, this can't be good. Cybermen have always been the scariest DOCTOR WHO villains for me, because of the fact that the monsters are essentially humans without humanity. And now we have deceased humans stripped of their emotions powering the Cybermen suits, so, like The Mistress said, who knows the sheer amount of Cybermen she has created already. The episode ends with The Mistress setting the Cybermen out on the city of London, which can only end up with a lot of Deletion.

3W, how strange? White noise is actually dead people communicating? Its such an interesting, and scary, concept that the dead are still connected to their human bodies. I got chills when they found out the 3 words that started this process were "Don't cremate me." Also, am I the only one who thought that Dr. Chang could've been Matt Smith's brother? I mean his voice was almost exactly like Matt's. It was so weird!

So Missy is The Master! Missy is short for Mistress, how did I not pick up on that?!? I am ashamed in myself. Since the last time we saw The Master, now The Mistress, he followed Rassilon into the Time War, I can only assume he's been up to quite a lot and we will find out next week. And I guess that answers the question, Time Lords can regenerate between men and women. (Does that mean a female Doctor is in store for us? I could only hope!)

The Doctor was in prime form in this episode. Helping Clara save Danny and showing her how much he really does care for her was very touching. It was nice seeing such a heartfelt and sincere moment from our usually sassy and grumpy Twelfth Doctor. However, next week will not be so happy since he will have to face off against two of the biggest DOCTOR WHO villains, Cybermen and The Mistress! I have no ideas of how he's going to stop The Mistress, and in turn the Cybermen, but I know that if anybody can do it, it's The Doctor. Like I said before, though, I really do feel like he's going to lose a lot in tomorrow's episode-a lot meaning Clara. Although I really hope we have another season with Clara, I could very easily see this being the way she goes, since it feels very reminiscent of finales past that included a lot of loss for The Doctor. (Oh, also, watching the sheer disgust on The Doctor's face when Missy kisses him was PRICELESS. I guess he doesn't remember kissing River all those times.)

Favorite Moments from "Dark Water"

Clara: "I don't deserve anything. I am owed better. I am owed."

Clara to The Doctor: "You told me once what it would take to destroy a TARDIS key, that's what's so good about lava."

The Doctor to Clara: "We are going to to go wherever people go when they die and find Danny, and if its possible we are going to bring him home"

The Doctor to Clara: "Do you think I care for you so little that betraying you would make a difference?"

The Doctor to Clara: "The darkest day. The blackest hour. Chin up, shoulders back, lets see what we are made of, you and I"

The Doctor to Clara: "Clara is it over now?"

Danny to SEB: "You have iPads in the Afterlife?"

I sure hope The Doctor finds a way to save everyone, but it's going to be a very nerve-wracking episode next week watching him take on The Mistress and the Cybermen! Leave your comments on tonight's episode below, and make sure to come back next week as I discuss the Season 8 Finale of DOCTOR WHO!
