Hello Stranger Friends, the RED BAND SOCIETY had its last episode before the fall finale last night, and with the cast growing and love in the air over the last couple of weeks, it was a jam packed show. Kara and Hunters relationship continues to add heat, Leo and Emma have some mixed news and their first real date, Dash and Jordi find a new prospect for entirely different reasons when a new patient is admitted, and even the adults are getting into the relationship action. There must really be something in the water at Ocean Park Hospital. After Charlie's big week last week, the eyes are still up and blinking, but he gets some much needed rest, and just narrates this week.

After Kara and Hunter's passionate roof-top kiss last week, the pair are now lurking in the restrooms to get together fully, but each time they try, Kara's heart monitor goes off like a bat signal to Nurse Jackson's prying eyes. While on the search for condoms, Kara and Emma have one of their "realness conversations," they haven't had in a while, but packed the same emotional punches all the same, as Kara calls Emma out on not being honest on her supposed new found control of her anorexia, Emma calls Kara out on having to go directly to sex, do not pass go, before anyone can find out how truly horrible she might be, including Hunter. Of course the "frienemies," each get thru to each other as Kara gets Hunter to agree to slow down with her, and as they try the "holding hands thing," Hunter is burning up with fever and passes out. It's just an infection, but Kara realizes her heart maybe works more than she thought, transplant be damned.

Leo finds out from his physical therapist that his hard work and apparent cancer remission has been paying off, so he may get to leave the hospital soon, and Emma finds out that her lying is working too well, as her food counselor thinks she may be able to go home soon as well, due to Emma's recent fake food attitude change. Leo tries to calm Emma's nerves about not being able to continue their relationship outside of the hospital, by throwing a romantic, do-over first date, on the hospital roof. (That roof gets a lot of action and some funny moments as Leo set's his artificial leg on fire on their date)! Kara's words end up getting to Emma as well, when Leo brings a gift of a small box of chocolates to Emma, which set's her off that nobody, and especially Leo, understand her at all and that she is just faking being over her anorexia. Unfortunately she has been a bit too convincing to the staff and soon her dad is there to take her home...........Uh Oh!

Another new recurring character, Delaney, a spoiled pop starlet supposedly suffering from exhaustion, is admitted to Ocean Park and sets Dash's heart racing and Jordi's chance for a break in his singing career. Played by Bella Thorne, Delaney's "exhaustion," may have to do with an addiction as she trades Jordi 10 minutes of time with her manager to showcase his talents, for 10 prescription, heavy duty pain killers. Dash uses all of his charm to keep from dying a virgin, and it's possible that Delaney just may feel sorry enough for him to do it. Unfortunately every move that Dash makes gets buzz killed by Jordi interrupting and then both of them getting blown off by her. Jordi for being too talented and Dash for being too good of a kid...........for now.

The patients aren't the only ones with issues this week either. Nurse Brittany is going to enter the dating pool again by trying out an Internet blind date, and Dr. McAndrews thinks he may have a chance again with ex-girlfriend and new Chief of Staff, Dr. Grace, both with a lot of twists and turns along the way. The heart to heart that the two doctors share leaves Grace feeling glad they are able to work together again, and McAndrews thinking that there is a chance they are going to get together again. That quickly gets dashed as Dr. Grace's "friend" Sam, finds the two doctors in the cafeteria, blindsiding McAndrews as he is told they met in Africa and he has been living with Grace as he decides whether to move to the US permanently.

This news sends Dr. McAndrews to the local bar, where he sees Nurse Brittany, having a pretty miserable time with her blind date. She pleads with him with her eyes to intervene, which he does, leading to Brittney launching into a hilarious story of how they know each other. The rescue leads into waking up in bed together the next morning, Nurse Brittney excited about their new relationship, and Dr. McAndrews trying to explain that he thought they both knew it was a one night stand. Brittney shows her understanding by punching him directly in the eye. This leads to a walk of shame into the hospital for McAndrews, but triggers Dr. Grace's confusion of her feelings for him as she helps him put ice on his wounds. This could get pretty darn tricky!

************ BREAKING: Just before going on the air tonight, Entertainment Weekly and TV Line, announced that FOX Television is halting production on RED BAND SOCIETY, after it finishes shooting its thirteenth episode next month. While not officially cancelling the series, FOX is holding off on when they will air the 3 remaining episodes after it shows the tenth and winter finale next Wednesday. This puts the show on serious life support, but it still could come back for a second season next year. That decision will be announced early next year.

I will hold my thoughts on my regular, What I Like and Questions, feature this week, as we await more word on the show. I do have to say I have really enjoyed the show overall, and do hope that FOX changes its mind. I do think if they try to air those three remaining episodes in conjunction with GLEE when it airs its final episodes next year, they could get a big enough bump to keep the show going. Thanks for reading along with me each week and please let me know your thoughts on FOX stopping further production in the comments below, or tweet me at @LeftofStr8
