Breaking up is hard to do and letting go of the person you love can be a tough decision, especially if that loved one is going on murder sprees without your consent. This week's episode of SUPERNATURAL, entitled "Reichenbach," was an all out display of just how much Crowley loved Deanmon and how even the King of Hell's heart can be broken.

Unfortunately for Sam, the younger of the Winchesters was still holed up in an unknown location being tortured by newcomer Cole. Cole recounted that many years prior, when he was just a young lad of thirteen, he had seen Dean standing over his dead father's body and he was out to get vengeance in honor of his slain dad.

Sam tried, unsuccessfully, to convince Cole that A. he had no idea where his brother was and B. there were much more dangerous creatures out there like vampires and werewolves (that write diaries and attend a lot of school dances). Cole laughed Sam off because if we remember correctly, the majority of the world has no idea of the existence of such silly myths. Luckily Sam was able to escape Cole as the vengeful soldier had dropped his keys all too conveniently by Sam's feet.

Deanmon was still gallivanting around North Dakota, acting like a total jerk to women, and beating up strip club bouncers. Crowley knew it was time to reel Dean in; he would feed his mark, control his anger issues, and help Crowley collect his souls in the process. It seemed like a win-win for the demon besties, but Dean couldn't control himself as he purposefully murdered the (awful) man whose soul Crowley would be collecting.

Castiel continued on his roadtrip with Hannah as Sam called for his assistance. Castiel's failing grace was taking its ultimate toll on the trench coat wearing angel as he accidentally crashed his car while avoiding a head-on collision with a truck. The two stopped at a mechanic's house while the car received repairs, ate some bean dip, and watched cartoons. Hannah even shot down the idea that she like-liked Castiel.

Though Hannah was unsure of her true, human feelings, she still wanted to do everything she could to help her sick friend. Beaming herself back up to Heaven, Hannah was prepared to make a deal with the return of Metatron. She came seconds from accepting Castiel's grace in exchange for Metatron's release, but Cas popped up just in time, revealing that he had accepted his fate of being a 7-11 cashier for the rest of his life.

Crowley tried to reason with Dean but it was too late. He was way too irritated that Dean wouldn't commit to a monogamous relationship. "I aint your freaking bestie," Deanmon declared. It was enough for the ultimate break-up and the end of the love affair of Dean and Crowley. Bitter, Crowley outed Dean's whereabouts to Sam all too quickly.

As Sam and Dean prepared to go head-to-head, Cole interrupted the two and finally sought out his vengeance. Except Dean was too strong and too fast as he revealed to the human that yes, demons do exist.

Thankfully, Sam was able to use the showdown to take hold of his brother, handcuff him, and push him into the car (which Dean couldn't have cared less about, revealing just how much of a demon he really was). Sam reluctantly handed the First Blade over to Crowley, who promised to take it far away from Dean's grasps. Although Crowley was happy to hand Dean over and take possession of the blade, he looked on longingly at the most precious picture of his and his ex-bestie sharing a brew while wearing cowboy hats.

Back in the car, Dean promised to take no mercy on Sam.

Things we need to discuss:

  • Hannah's seems to have acquired Castiel's sense of confused humor a la early seasons of SPN.
  • Why couldn't Castiel and Hannah (or at least just Hannah) angel poof themselves to Sam?
  • I was sick and tired of Metatron twenty episodes ago. I'd also rather give up my grace than deal with that guy.
  • How many more cowboy hat wearing pictures does Crowley have on his phone? Does he have Instagram?

How long will Dean last as a demon now that he is in Sam's hands? Do you think Crowley is crying over a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream? Tell me what you think in the comments and don't forget to follow me on Twitter @enr702 or live-tweeting @erinrlivetweets!
