Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett & More Sign On for All-Female OCEANS ELEVEN Spinoff

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Awkwafina have signed on for Warner Bros' upcoming all-female spinoff of OCEANS ELEVEN, to be titled 'Oceans Ocho.' Rihanna is also expected to contribute music to the project.

Directed by Gary Ross. production is scheduled to begin in New York City this October. Ocean's Eleven helmer Steven Soderberg is expected to be "deeply involved" in the latest installment which features a screenplay by Olivia Milch and Ross.

Presenting an all-female reboot of some of Hollywood's greatest and most successful films is a new trend in Hollywood. Most recently, Sony's all-female GHOSTBUSTERS remake hit theaters with a $150 million budget. Thus far, the film has not been a hit at the box office and is expected to deliver a $70 million loss to the studio.
