ABC Monday Prime (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.5 million and 1.5/5 in AD18-49): With "The Bachelorette" from 8:00-10:00 p.m. leading into night 1 of RNC coverage, ABC ranked No. 1 on Monday in Total Viewers (5.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/5-tied w/ NBC). In addition, the Net won Monday for the 6th time in the last 7 weeks across all key Women demos.

Beating NBC's "American Ninja Warrior" head to head to win the night, ABC's "The Bachelorette" stood as Monday's most watched TV show overall (6.6 million) and the night's No. 1 TV series in Adults 18-49 for its 7th consecutive original telecast (1.9/7).

"The Bachelorette" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 6.6 million and 1.9/7 in AD18-49): Ranking No. 1 in each half-hour from 8:00-10:00 p.m., "The Bachelorette" beat NBC's "American Ninja Warrior" in the 2-hour slot by 14% in Total Viewers (6.6 million vs. 5.8 million) and 12% among Adults 18-49 (1.9/7 vs. 1.7/6).

"Your Voice, Your Voice" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.5 million and 0.7/3 in AD18-49): Night 1 of ABC News' "Your Voice, Your Voice: The 2016 Republican Convention" coverage finished a strong second at 10:00 p.m., beating CBS News' convention coverage in the hour by 35% in Total Viewers (3.5 million vs. 2.6 million), by 67% Adults 25-54 (1.0/3 vs. 0.6/2) and by 40% in Adults 18-49 (0.7/3 vs. 0.5/2). The program delivered ABC's biggest non-sports audience in the hour this summer. Editors Please Note: RNC Coverage was live, so the preliminary Fast Affiliate numbers are subject to greater adjustments in the National ratings this afternoon.

Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
