ABC News' "Good Morning America" finished as the No. 1 morning program in Total Viewers (5.434 million), Adults 25-54 (2.030 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.494 million) for the week of October 27, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" beat the No. 2-ranked "Today" (4.793 million, 1.886 million and 1.491 million, respectively) by 641,000 Total Viewers, by 144,000 Adults 25-54 and by 3,000 Adults 18-49.
On Friday (10/31/14), "GMA" outperformed "Today" on Halloween for the 2nd year in a row in both Total Viewers (+384,000 - 5.490 million vs. 5.106 million) and Adults 25-54 (+78,000 - 2.063 million vs. 1.985 million). "GMA" saw week-to-week improvement (5.216 million, 1.931 million and 1.380 million, respectively, on w/o 10/20/14) in Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%), hitting a season high in Adults 18-49. Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in all key demos: Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" by 792,000 Total Viewers, by 211,000 Adults 25-54 and by 30,000 Adults 18-49. In fact, "GMA" has widened its season margins over "Today" versus the same point last season by 4% in Total Viewers (792,000 vs. 765,000) and by a substantial 272% in Adults 25-54 (211,000 vs. 56,000), and is now leading "Today" in Adults 18-49 this season. Ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season, "GMA" is seeing its largest season margins over "Today" in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 in more than 23 years - since at least the 1991-92 season (Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991).Videos
