ABC's 2014 ROSE BOWL PARADE Posts Highest Growth in 10 Years

On New Year's Day 2014, ABC's annual broadcast of the "2014 Rose Parade" attracted an average audience of 7.643 million Total Viewers and 2.005 million Adults 18-49.

In viewers and young adults, the "2014 Rose Parade" grew year over year for the 2nd-straight year to deliver its biggest overall audience in 10 years and its strongest Adult 18-49 performance in 5 years - since 2000 and 2009, respectively.

Up for the 2nd-consecutive year, this year's Rose Parade shot up 16% over the prior year in Kids 2-11 (661,000) to score a 12-year high - since 2002.

From 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., ABC's broadcast of the "2014 Rose Parade" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, topping NBC's coverage of the parade (7.573 million Viewers and 1.757 million Adults 18-49, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) for the 4th year in a row in Viewers and in 3 of the last 4 years in young adults.
