ABC has all but cancelled its floundering sophomore series DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23.
As of today, the network has officially pulled the remaining episodes from the show's second season from the winter lineup. The schedule for APARTMENT 23, has been a bit of a mess in recent weeks: rather than continue on with their plan to air double runs of the show for three weeks this winter, the network has just washed their hands of the series, it seems. Ratings here are to blame.
And while simply being pulled from the schedule doesn't necessarily mean cancellation, it doesn't look good for the series. Not even its cast is optimistic:
James Van Der Beek tweeted, "Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we've basically been cancelled."
Series lead Krysten Ritter later chimed in with, "my beloved fans, sad to confirm that it is true. Don't Trust the B--- #apt23 has been cancelled. thank you so much for your support i love u"
And finally, Dreama Walker tweeted, "Beyond grateful for two seasons to be proud of on #Apt23. Thanks for all of your love and support :)"
In DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23, a naïve Midwestern girl's big city dreams are dashed during her first week in New York, she finds herself living with her worst nightmare in this hilarious, contemporary comedy about a female odd couple who are surrounded by an outrageous and entertaining cast of characters.
