The spoof on iconic "bad horror films" "Not Another Bad Horror Flick" will screen at the Nyack Film Festival on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 8:00PM ET. The film stars Genoveva Rossi, a well-known "Scream Queen" (Apocalypse Kiss, Agraphobia: Fear of Sexual Harrassment, Tapestry), Miranda Southwell, Khalima Gaston, Natasha Ramadass, Melissa Damas (Ghetto Nerd Girl), Kaitlyn Creed Boyce and Luis R Scott.
Not Another Bad Horror Flick is about a "Mean Girl" Brittany who begins acting out of character after nearly bludgeoning her nerdy classmate to death; it's up to her posse to figure out her issue before it's too late. The film is inspired by 80's slasher/cult films. This marks the first short feature film from the director Bridget Machete. As an inventive artist in Rockland County independent filmmaking scene, Bridget started her career while still in NYU film school, when she was freelancing on sets of TV commercials. Her first feature film "Frostbite," also screened at Nyack film festival back in 2013. In "Not Another Bad Horror Flick," Machete explores the idea of a teenage killer trying to live life on the outside of her secret world. The film was shot entirely in Nyack, Nanuet and Pearl River, NY and was completed in just under a month. Machete Media Productions team is looking forward to the festival screening. Bridget says, "The film is fun and we're happy to see how viewers respond and participate to what it attempts to do."Videos
