ROOM FULL OF STRANGERS

BIO:
"When these guys get going you want to dance around, do cocaine, fellate Lou Reed, and end your night crawling through a back alley in the East Village while vomiting whiskey and bile. Yes, they’re that good" ~ Analogvoid - Marc Hernandez Room Full of Strangers began in 2009 and it was in less than a years time of performing and touring, that the band was discovered by legendary producer Mark Kramer. The following year RFOS appeared at CMJ 2010 and then again in 2011 for several successful, 'official' showcases in NYC. In true DIY fashion, RFOS did this completely independent of major label support, while still managing to generate the greatest draw and buzz for their showcases. This is partially because, in addition to playing their genre bending music, RFOS has been praised by fans and press alike, for putting on a highly energetic and entertaining 'show' and their fans are fiercely loyal. Musically the band is a unique blend of garage, proto punk and psychedelic rock; written with a pop sensibility. This eclectic blend is what attracted producer Mark Kramer, who has worked with Sonic Youth, The Butthole Surfers and Monotonix as well as many other timeless and contemporary greats. That said, it is apparent that the band is influenced by this musical pedigree, while still forming their own unique blend of garage rock. Additionally, fans and audience members frequently state that RFOS engage you with a fun rock n roll revelry vibe, coupled with just enough sardonic comedy and creepiness to keep you guessing. In short, the Room Full of Strangers experience is known for a 'peak and valley' journey, where The Monkees meet the MC5. Currently the band is conducting a 2012 North American tour in support of their EP 10,000 and a string of college radio singles. The tour is aptly named, 'You Don't Know Till You Go'.
