Vin Diesel Sings Rihanna's 'Stay' For V-Day

Vin Diesel Sings Rihanna's 'Stay' For V-DayAction movie mega-star Vin Diesel showed off his singing skills in a specially created Facebook music video, crooning Rihanna's range-y "Stay" - quite surprisingly - quite impressively.

Whispering "Happy V-Day" while donning a black blazer, white shirt and designer jeans, Diesel starts off a bit trepidatiously, performing in front of a projection of the video version of the Rihanna chart-topper with microphone in hand. But, he soon gives over to the inherent emotion of the evocative anthem, even daring to traverse into his falsetto range with the bridge and coda portion of the smash hit. While he doesn't hit all the notes head-on, his heart is certainly in the right place, and, while he might have meant it as more of a joke than anything, it remains entertaining and endearing.

Diesel ends with a "Happy V-Day, everyone!" times three, and then a "Mwah!" before blowing an air-kiss to the camera. If only all mega-stars were as kind to their Facebook fans - in this case, all 39 million of them!

Diesel was once rumored to headline a new feature film adaptation of GUYS & DOLLS, so perhaps this performance will set those tongues wagging and interest will begin building once again for something along those lines.

After all, specially given the huge hit status of LES MISERABLES very recently, anything is possible in movie musical land when it comes to big stars singing Broadway standards!
