Future Generations to Tour with Magic City Hippies

Since the release of their new album Landscape, Future Generations have spent more time in the tour van than at home. That trend will continue into 2019 as the band have just confirmed a tour of the U.S. as the support for Magic City Hippies. The dates kick off January 10 in Indianapolis and conclude February 10 in New Orleans. Along the way they will play Chicago, Seattle and Los Angeles.

Last night saw the Brooklyn band head out for an East Coast run of dates as the support for Wild Child. That tour hits Brooklyn's Music Hall Of Williamsburg on December 7. All Future Generation dates are listed below.

These two support tours are the follow up to a massive North American run Future Generations did around Landscape's release where they played to packed houses from coast to coast, including a sell-out homecoming at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right.

Landscape has enjoyed airplay from tastemaker stations such as KCRW, WFUV, WXPNand has been playlisted by Spotify for 5 of the album's tracks. Blackbook has taken note of the band's "lush synths, sumptuous harmonies and infectious hooks" and Ones To Watch note they "display a wealth of hooky melodies, which is immediately accessible for the listener at hand." Of their "Out Loud" single PopMatters said, "it's a hooky, carefree, sophisticated slice of synthpop."

The second full-length from Future Generations, Landscape emerged from the kind of playful creativity only possible among the closest collaborators. Five friends who all live together in Brooklyn, Future Generations brought Landscape to life by balancing their pop-minded songcraft with bursts of free-form experimentation: recording guitar riffs from the receiving end of a phone call, messing with a vintage synthesizer called the Fun Machine, building percussion tracks by sampling a batch of drum-circle recordings. So while the album's abundance of hooky melodies makes each song immediately catchy, Landscape unfolds with an intricacy of detail that reveals more nuance and depth with every new listen.

Produced by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, Hamilton Leithauser), Landscape shows the sophisticated musicality that Future Generations have honed since Gore, Sansevere, and Grossman first crossed paths at Fordham.

Eddie Gore (vocals, keys, guitar) - Mike Sansevere (synthesizer, guitar, percussion) - Eric Grossman (guitar) Devon Sheridan (bass) - Dylan Wells (percussion)
