Just one day after FRIENDS star Matt LeBlanc was given a series commitment to return to CBS, EW reports that his former co-star Courtney Cox received the news that she will be starring in and executive producing CHARITY CASE, a comedy pilot for FOX.

The single-camera sitcom will feature the 'Cougar Town' actress as Hailey, "a widow who inherits her late billionaire husband's charity; however, she quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined."

Robert Padnick will write the pilot, with James Griffiths directing. The duo will also serve as executive producers along with Cox.

Following her tenure on NBC's FRIENDS, Cox moved on to 'Cougar Town'. The series originally ran on ABC before moving to the TBS network. Co-starring Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, and Dan Boyd, it had a successful six-year run.
