Blank Range Announces 2018 Tour Dates with Margo Price

This summer, Nashville's Blank Range released their debut album Marooned With The Treasure via Sturdy Girls Records distributed by Thirty Tigers (Sturgill Simpson / Jason Isbell). The band will hit the road for the rest of the year supporting Jessica Lea Mayfield and Tyler Childers and have just announced a run of dates in 2018 with Margo Price. Last week, The Nashville Scene hosted their annual Best of Nashville awards where Blank Range was awarded the Writers' Choice for Best Rock Album. D. Patrick Rogers said, "Not only is Blank Range's long-awaited debut LP Marooned With the Treasure one of the most evocatively named local releases of 2017, it's also among the strongest. Somewhere between the charming garage rock of The Replacements, the striking power pop of Big Star and the rough-hewn Southern rock of Lucero, Marooned With the Treasure features nuanced, road-tested playing and vocal performances that are just the right amount of rugged."

Rolling Stone Country recently featured the band as one of 10 New Country Artists You Need To Know and said the album is "brimming with storyteller verses, bourbon-bathed choruses and transcendental bursts of shred by Gustafson - one of Music City's most inventive guitarists..."

Noisey premiered "Opening Band," the first track to be released from the debut album. Annalise Domenighini said, "It's a great example of how, sometimes, a song just needs to be simple to be good... Jon Childers' vocals resemble a southern-fried Bob Dylan." Stereogum premiered "Ember In The Ash" and called it a "A sunrise slow-drift accented by weeping slide guitar."
