Iconic Broadway leading man and recognizable small screen and Hollywood notable Ben Vereen showed off his considerable performance skills once again with a tremendous live rendering of the national anthem yesterday at the Fiesta Bowl.

Vereen kicked off the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, AZ, with an emotionally-charged and melisma-flecked singing of the tricky tune to the cheers and adulation of the thousands in attendance and more than 3 million viewers around the globe where the University of Florida squared off against Baylor at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

And, wow - what a final note!

Clearly, some showbiz greats really do age like fine wine and Mr. Vereen is unquestionably one of them judging from this spectacular live performance clip.
