BWW Exclusive: Meet the Artists Behind the Music of SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL

Last night, THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL opened at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL), where it will run through Sunday, July 10, 2016. BWW's Kevin Pollack was on the "yellow" carpet to speak with some of the talented musical artists who contributed songs to the highly anticipated production (Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips, Tom Higgenson from Plain White T's, Jonathan Coulton, Yolanda Adams), along with SPONGEBOB choreographer Christopher Gattelli and Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob. Acclaimed Steppenwolf director Tina Landau and the groundbreaking designers behind Fun Home, Hedwig, and Spring Awakening have reimagined Bikini Bottom for the Broadway stage.
