Deadline reports that Tony-nominated actress Condola Rashad (Broadway's Stick Fly and The Trip To Bountiful) has signed on to play George Clooney's assistant in the big screen thriller Money Monster, directed by Jodie Foster.

The film follows "a Jim Cramer-style TV stock jockey taken hostage on air by a man who loses his savings after following the star's advice."

Rashad will also star alongside Rachel Weisz, Michael Shannon, Kathy Bates, and Danny Glover in Joshua Marston's currently untitled feature film about "a woman introduced at a dinner party hosted by Shannon, who increasingly believes he knows the woman, but by a different name and a different biography."

Rashad will soon be seen on the small screen in an upcoming pilot for Showtime titled Billions opposite Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis. She has made recent guest appearances on CBS's The Good Wife, NBC's Smash and ABC's Georgetown.

Among Rashad's other TV credits are Elementary, Smash, and the TV movie adaptation of Steel Magnolias. The actress last appeared on Broadway opposite Orlando Bloom in Romeo and Juliet last year. She has also graced the stage in THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL and Stick Fly, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012.
