Variety writes that The Lonely Island -- Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone -- are teaming up with Judd Apatow for a Universal movie. Schaffer and Taccone will direct.

No word yet on a title or official plot synopsis, but the film is set in the music world.

The Lonely Island, best known for their digital comedy shorts for Saturday Night Live, including "Lazy Sunday" and "I'm On A Boat", have released three studio albums and also contributed to The Lego Movie theme song "Everything Is Awesome".

The Lonely Island also recently booked a deal with Fox to develop digital projects.
