Academy Award-winning director and writer Nora Ephron's final film Julie and Julia leads the abbreviated lineup in March on Reel 13. The series was pre-empted on Saturday, March 7 and 14 due to special pledge programming.

Ephron's film contrasts the life of Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career with the life of Julie Powell, a young New Yorker who aspires to cook all 524 recipes in Child's cookbook in one year, a challenge she described on her popular blog. The screenplay was adapted from Child's autobiography My Life in France and Powell's memoir documenting her daily experiences in the challenge.
Meryl Streep was recognized with a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination.

Thanksgiving, Meet John Doe and Kilimanjaro are among the month's other offerings.
Every Saturday night beginning at 9 p.m., viewers can catch a Hollywood Classic hosted by film historian Neal Gabler, followed by an Indie, hosted by Columbia University professor Richard Peña. The evening concludes with a Short film selected by viewers who vote for their favorite of three shorts at Reel13.org.
