Ehtan Hawke to Star in 'A Late Quartet' Film

Ethan Hawke will star in the independent film 'A Late Quartet,' Variety reports. 

The film, which is co-written by Seth Grossman and Yaron Zilberman and will be directed by Zilberman, tells of a long-time string quartet, one of whom retires because Parkinson's disease.  Hawke will play the second violinist, who has an extra-marital affair. 

Ethan Hawke was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in THE COAST OF UTOPIA.  His other stage credits include THE SEAGULL, HENRY IV, HURLYBURLY, THE CHERRY ORCHARD, and THE WINTER'S TALE.  He has also directed productions of THINGS WE WANT and A LIE OF THE MIND.  His many film credits include 'Training Day,' 'Hamlet,' 'Before Sunrise,' 'Before Sunset,' and 'Before the Devil Knows Your Dead.'
