Variety reports that former SNL cast member Bill Hader is in talks to join Universal Pictures' TRAINWRECK. Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, This Is 40) will helm the comedy, which stars actress Amy Schumer.

Schumer penned the script for the film, which will be produced through Apatow Productions alongside Barry Mendel (Bridesmaids, This Is 40).

TRAINWRECK will hit theaters on Friday, July 24, 2015.

Schumer currently stars on The Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer. Her film credits include Sleepwalk With Me and Seeking a Friend For the End of the World.

Hader's other big screen projects in the works include Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. He recently appeared in The Skeleton Twins, Her, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, The To Do List, Turbo, Monsters University, Star Trek Into Darkness, This Is 40 and more.

His TV credits include South Park, The Awesomes, The Mindy Project, The Venture Bros., Saturday Night Live and more.
