Back as LBJ! Bryan Cranston to Reprise Award-Winning Role in ALL THE WAY Adaptation for HBO Films

Variety writes that Bryan Cranston will take his Tony Award-winning portrayal of President Lyndon Johnson to the small screen in an HBO Films adaptation of last season's Broadway hit ALL THE WAY. Playwright Robert Schenkkan will adapt the project.

ALL THE WAY takes audiences behind the doors of the Oval Office and inside the first year of Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency and his fight to pass a landmark civil rights bill.

The play was Cranston's Broadway debut, for which the actor won this year's Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theater World awards for Best Actor in a Play.

Before ALL THE WAY, Cranston received three Emmys, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance as 'Walter White' in AMC's Breaking Bad and will likely sweep more honors into his basket at this year's Emmy ceremony.

Cranston's other upcoming film projects include Trumbo and Holland, Michigan. He also recently graced the big screen in Godzilla.
